AMPHORAE WITH A PINCH OF ZNOJMO TERROIR

The terracotta amphorae were manufactured in 2016 and since then they have been used for the production of wines by the Kakhetian method. Approximately 800 kg of ceramic clay from Šatov near Znojmo was used for the production of 4 such pieces. 500 liters of Znojmo groundwater and local oak and acacia wood for firing were also used for production. All raw materials were transported to Machovská Lhota in Bohemia, where the production took place. The containers vary in size from 220 to 250 liters. I leave trampled grapes in the containers for several months. Look for small batches of wines that have matured for several months in these containers buried in the basement underground.
